Building strategies with the AI Assistant

The AI drafts, you decide.

The AI Assistant lets any chat AI draft a strategy graph for you. No API key or integration: you copy a prompt into the chat you already use and paste the answer back. The editor checks the result before it touches your canvas.

Three modes

  • New strategy: describe the idea, e.g. "buy RSI dips below 30 while price is above the 200 EMA, 2% take-profit, 1% stop-loss".
  • Modify current: the prompt includes your current graph; ask for a change ("add an ADX filter", "make it long-only"). You see every change before applying it, and Undo reverts it.
  • Explain: the editor's own plain-language reading of the current graph appears right away; the prompt asks an AI for a fuller explanation with weak spots.

Step by step

  1. Click AI Assistant in the toolbar, describe what you want and click Copy prompt.
  2. Paste it into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Grok and send it.
  3. Copy the AI's whole reply and paste it into step 3. The editor finds the graph inside it.
  4. Click Check reply, read the result, then Load graph (or Apply changes).

Works best with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Grok. Google's AI Mode in Search tends to skip details of long instructions, so expect more fixes there.

Check what you got

Before loading, the editor shows what the graph will do, written from the wiring itself, not from the AI's description, and warns about likely mistakes, for example:

  • longs allowed only in a SuperTrend downtrend (models often mix up SuperTrend's direction sign);
  • a condition that can never be true, or one that is always true;
  • no stop-loss, or a signal without a Risk Config.

Small slips are fixed automatically and listed, such as a misspelled node type or a number sent as text. Real problems are listed with a Copy errors for the AI button: paste them into the same chat and the AI corrects its graph, with the exact port names included so it fixes from facts.

Values the AI picks

If you don't specify periods or levels, the AI uses common defaults, e.g. EMA 9/21 for short-term trading or 50/200 for trend. They're starting points, not optimized settings. Say what you want in the request, or tune the inputs on the TradingView chart.

Privacy

The editor doesn't send anything to an AI on its own. You decide what to paste into which chat; the prompt contains the node catalog, your request and, for Modify and Explain, your current graph.

The AI drafts, you decide: check every node before trading. Nothing here is financial advice.
